Primary · Basic 1–6

Basic school is where your child becomes who they will be.

Our Primary programme builds academic excellence through the GES curriculum, advanced French, and a practical STEM track that prepares your child for a world that demands more than memorisation.

Basic 1 to Basic 6 · Ages 6 – 11 years

Transfer students welcome. Assessment is friendly — not a barrier.

A real competitive advantage

By Basic 6, your child can speak French. That is not normal. At Storyville, it is.

Children who enter Basic 1 from our KG programme already have four or more years of French behind them. For new entrants, structured catch-up support is provided wherever it is needed.

By Basic 6, Storyville students can:

  • Hold a sustained conversation in French
  • Read basic French texts independently
  • Write in French
Children in French class

STEM at Storyville is not a subject. It is a way of thinking.

Every STEM project is hands-on. Children are given a problem, not a solution. They build, test, and explain.

Basic 1 to 3 — Lower Primary

Building, sorting, measuring and experimenting with real materials. Children learn that problems can be figured out.

Basic 4 to 6 — Upper Primary

Applied problem-solving, basic computing and data collection. Students present projects to peers — confidence and knowledge together.

UCMAS mental arithmetic

Rapid numerical processing, built from the ground up — the same discipline that sharpens STEM thinking.

What a Basic 6 graduate from Storyville can do

Three outcomes. Every graduate. Guaranteed.

Speak French

Hold a real conversation in French.

Solve problems

Approach any problem and find a way through it.

Argue clearly

Present an argument to a room with confidence.

Transfer students welcome throughout the year, subject to space.
